She is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice and Psychiatric/Mental Health. Her areas of expertise include the treatment of depression, anxiety, mood lability, trauma, ADHD, and interpersonal issues. She strives to create a safe, collaborative spirit, providing recommendations and guidance while respecting the individual paths of her clients.
Maria’s career spans more than 24 years in healthcare. She began in the military as an Air Evacuation Medic and transitioned to work as a civilian nurse in a Level I trauma center. Her frontline experience inspired her to further her education, and she graduated with honors from Walden University in 2014 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. In this role, she specialized in hematology and oncology and worked extensively with active duty and retired military personnel and their families. Continuing her educational journey, Maria earned her Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Liberty University, graduating with honors in 2021. She is currently a Veteran Community Provider and works with various insurance providers.
